I got this wee box on last Friday and I could setup all in 30 min. It’s typical apple stock which gives you very intuitive usage model with limitation.
It requires only 3 connections. Power and Hdmi cable. Optical cable is optional if you are fine with your Tv’s speakers. Since Video association is Hdmi, video ability is superb. I indeed like the clean and well refined Ui screen. It’s not fixed screen. It changes depending on your contents. Whenever I browse straight through menu, upper section of screen shows snapshot of what I can pick and it updates very speedily when you add new contents.
It has built in wireless Lan so, you don’t need internet cable though it has port if you want. The wireless seems best than mobile expedient since it could play Youtube pretty smoothly where iPad couldn’t play very well. It detects ready Ap automatically and detects what type of security is used. Just type in password then you are good to go.
This device comes with following features.
1. Playing Movie and Tv shows you can buy or rent from iTune store
2. Playing Netflix, Youtube and Flicker
3. Playing your own contents
4. Playing internet radio
5. Playing photo slide shows
#1 is very easy if your wallet is ready. Just click and browse movies then click to play.
#2 is also very easy if you have netflix account. Just type Id and password then you have full access.
#3 is super easy if you are well-known with iTune on desktop. Apple doesn’t find all movies automatically. It doesn’t make Ui super complicated to sustain everything. Apple Tv uses Home Sharing highlight and grab anyone you have in your iTune library. So the only supported video format is Mpeg4/h.264. If you have videos purchased from iTune store, those are already mp4. So you don’t need to do anything. If you have lots of videos in other format, you will need to convert the format. There are some tools ready on the shop so it won’t be very difficult. Once you add your contents, it appears on apple Tv instantly. Though all movies are seen on same screen in iTune Sw, it’s possible to define category. Then Apple Tv shows type such as Comedy, Drama and so on. When you scroll through categories, left screen shows snapshot of movies you have.
#4 it plays audio pretty well as well though there’s one annoying bug. If you have songs and didn’t mark in iTune, you can’t play using Apple Tv. You need to mark songs to play. I hope this is fixed in software modernize soon.
#5 I like photo slide show very much. You can define the style of slide shows and you can conclude if you want to add background music or not. If you have your friends or relatives coming, this feature is very nice to share your great moments.
What I like about this expedient is typical Apple’s intuitive Ui. It’s super easy to use. No complicated long list of hierarchy. I haven’t read manual at all. And also, it supports most of the video contents you will need such as netflix and youtube. I use At&T Uverse so I know how Iptv works but Apple Tv works much better. In the first day of use, I changed my plan from U200 to U-family to save some bucks and pay for Netflix.
Video potential is also very nice. I have lots of low quality video with lots of artifact. Those are still visible but post processing smoothes out those. For high ability video, screen is super crisp and bright.
Also box is so small that it’s hardly seen. I put close to my Harman Kardon receiver and apple Tv fits very well. And it’s also very easy to move colse to the rooms. I bought several Hdmi cables so that I can move between living room, expert bed rooms and others. Power consumption is so small that you don’t need to bother to turn off all the time. It as a matter of fact doesn’t have power button.
There’s some possibility of upgrade. This expedient has built in strong processor, A4 to deal with video decoding. Everything is implemented using software meaning, it can be indubitably expanded. I am not sure what’s Apple’s strategy but this device might have great potential. This expedient is too strong for the media player.
The catch of all above feature is very good internet connection and faster desktop. If you have good internet connections, you won’t observation much lags. When you play movies that are stored in your desktop, the lag depends on how fast your Pc is. So, Apple Tv is not standalone device. It smartly uses infra buildings that are base in many of household these days. In my case, I upgraded internet speed since Netflix uses about 1.5Mbps.
Though what Apple Tv provides is nothing new and all can be done by Pc or similar boxes, it just makes excellent with $99. I think it’s great increasing to your media system.

I read that Samsung was currently the best on the market so I searched only for Samsung Tvs. After reading the reviews, I finally decided that the Samsung Un55D8000 55-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D Led Hdtv (this Tv) was going to be the Tv I was going to purchase. A incorporate days after ordering the Tv from amazon.com, I received a phone call from I believe it was a company called Home Direct Shipping (or something like that) to program a delivery. Other reviewers mentioned that Amazon.com didn’t mention that. I only knew that an additional one enterprise was going to deliver it because of other reviews. The delivery guys (was 2 of them) were nice and I had no issues. They offered to unpack it but since I didn’t have an entertainment stand at the time, I declined.
Once my stand arrived, I started to setup the Tv. As soon as you put the batteries, turn on the Tv. Flip the remote over to the keyboard side and it will tell you that you need to pair the remote. You want to do this right away to avoid any issues. I had a bunch of issues pairing the remote but after reading the reviews on here, specifically the man who posted a way to reset the remote (thank you for that!), I ultimately figured it out. You will want to get about 6 inches away from the bottom Right angle of the Tv. Samsung UN55D8000 55 Inch best 3D LED tv Making sure the Tv is On and 6 inches away from the lowest Right corner of the Tv, press and hold Tab+Sym for about 2 seconds. The screen on the remote will say “Pairing” and should take just a few seconds to pair. Do it any added than 6 inches away and you may run into some issues.
Once you have paired the remote, associate your Tv to the internet by using the choice in the Menu. I have a wireless router so the Tv picked up my internet and connected with no problem. As soon as you are related to the internet, immediately update your Tvs software. If you don’t, you may run into some problems. Netflix kept saying it couldn’t associate to the internet but yet I checked the Network status through the Tv and it said I was related (I could also connect to other apps that used the internet). As soon as I updated the software on the Tv, it worked perfectly. The photograph looks great, although I just noticed a few minutes ago a white dot looking thing on the bottom right corner. I’m not quite sure what that is since I’m a complete n00b when it comes to that kind of stuff (bleeding, clouding, etc. I know nothing about that). I’ll have to look into it.
Pros: Great photo Has dissimilar apps, such as Netflix (which I understanding was for real cool)
Price – Amazon was the cheapest that I found (who can beat free shipping and no tax)
Features – Many to play with (While time consuming, I like messing nearby with distinct features)
Edgeless screen – I conception this was in fact cool.
Cons:
Audio – Isn’t great but what can you positively expect from a flatscreen
Manual – Could be a little more informational. It does not clarify the process of pairing as well as it should.
Screen – Is slick and gets dirty with fingerprints (while setting the Tv up, I put a few of my fingerprints on the Tv from keeping it). Since it is glossy, the Tv may not look that great if you have light hitting the Tv. My living room is dark because I like my batcave to be dark so I don’t have any light issues.
Remote – There is a bit of lag time but it wasn’t that noticeable to me. The pairing process is a pain.
Other reviews talked about needing to mail in vouchers from the 3D kit. I received my kit and it included the two 3D glasses, Shrek 1-4, and Megamind 3D. There was no voucher for Shrek or anything, everything was in the box. I have watched Shrek 1-2 (3D) and Megamind 3D so far and the 3D was pretty cool. It’s not like on the big screens where it pops up at you but it’s still a cool thing to show. There is right on great potential though. Assuming they still do further study (and gain better technology), give the 3D technology a few years and it will be awesome. The Tv also comes with two 3D glasses. I haven’t checked them out yet but it appears it is rechargeable through Usb.
As soon as I saw the picture of the watch I knew this was a winner. I bought it for my wife, Guess G13537l Gold Watch for ladies it was shipped in time and when I gave my wife the box she was already amazed. When she opened the box her eyes glittered and I had won some good points. This watch is great for its price, makes an oustanding gift and looks amazing. I can’t advise it enough. I was afraid the gold would wear but I haven’t has a problem. I do have minor scratches from daily wear, but that doesn’t bother me and you can only observation if you look really, de facto close. I am ordering other and putting it up because I am afraid if something should happen to this one, I won’t be able to replace! I did purchase a similar seeing watch for my college age daughter, popular, expensive brand, for Christmas and guess what – in just 6 months the gold shows wear and needs to be replaced. Excelent wathc to use at any ocassion. Received as expected, acording to the sending options.
